This bronze medal was issued to commemorate the visit of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert to Manchester in 1851. I’ve compared it with a similar view of the cathedral today from a Premier Inn car park. To get the angle exactly right would involve checking in to the hotel, which may be a step too far for me.
