There’s something rather special about placing multiple museum objects together into a display, especially items that would usually only be seen on their own, such as these train signs. There’s power in numbers, making stories come to life about design, innovation, continuity and in this case also places and the making of place. As the museum looks to the future of the railways, it’s good to know that stories of the past are collaged together into the museum’s narrative.
