Imagine the original girl power team, plastered across your bedroom wall. John Wilman Ltd did just that, as they made this wallpaper for the home in the late 1990s.
Wilman started out as a 15-year-old apprentice, and went on to become part-owner of Coloroll, one of the biggest wallcovering names in the country, based here in the northwest.
The wallpaper is currently on display at the Whitworth Art Gallery in Bodies of Colour, an exhibition about stereotypes and wallpaper. Yes, wallpaper. It’s open until 28 April 2019.
